I don't have health insurance, and for a long time even basic lab work felt out of reach for me. Finding Jason Health changed that: I could order the blood tests I needed online, walk into a lab, and know the full price up front. If you're in the same spot, here's what I've learned.

How Jason Health works

  • Order online. Pick your tests on their site and pay at checkout.
  • Walk into a Quest lab. Choose one of their partner Quest locations (they list about 2,300) and go whenever it's open.
  • No insurance, no appointment, no doctor visit. Their own doctors write the lab order for you; it's included in the price.
  • One $18 collection fee per order, not per test. Nothing extra to pay at the lab.
  • HSA/FSA cards accepted.
  • Not available in New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island.

Tips to save

  • Bundle tests into one order so you pay the $18 collection fee once instead of every time.
  • Example: ferritin ($33 on its own) + iron & TIBC ($23 on its own) in one order = $38 total, not $56.
  • Ask your doctor or practitioner which tests you actually need before you order, so you don't pay for extras.

Totals include the $18 collection fee. Add more tests to the same order and you only pay that fee once, so the totals don't simply add up.

For GI-MAP and SIBO tests

Jason Health covers basic blood work: iron, CBC, CMP, celiac and H. pylori. We didn't find GI-MAP or SIBO breath tests there. For those, True Health Labs is the best fit we've found: you can order both online and True Health Labs arranges the lab order, so you don't need your own practitioner.

GI-MAP / SIBO

→ True Health Labs

True Health Labs prices checked Oct 18, 2026; they don't serve every state (noted next to each test), and sale prices change. Other sellers can be cheaper for some versions of these tests: compare all GI-MAP & SIBO options.
